Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) Practice Exam

The focus of an Agile team during the Inception phase is to engage in stakeholder discussions for project direction. This phase is critical for gathering initial requirements and understanding the overall vision of the project from various stakeholders. By facilitating discussions with stakeholders, the team can clarify expectations, determine priorities, and gain insights into the needs and preferences of those who will benefit from the outcome.

Engaging with stakeholders also helps to establish a shared understanding of the project scope and objectives. This collaborative approach is in line with Agile principles, which emphasize customer collaboration over contract negotiation. The goal during Inception is to ensure that everyone involved has a clear and aligned vision of what is to be achieved, allowing for better decision-making in subsequent phases of the project.
